04/08/24  As the morning sun rose, casting a gentle light upon the world, my thoughts drifted to the upcoming eclipse. I pondered the diverse reactions it evokes in people - from excitement to fear to indifference. I reflected on how, in the midst of these varied responses, I found myself in a state of complacency.

This complacency stirred memories of a time when I carried a deep concern for the destiny of others. Each morning, the weight of eternity rested on my heart, driving me to ensure that those I encountered glimpsed the light of Jesus through my actions and words. However, over time, this sense of urgency waned, much like the familiarity of witnessing an eclipse.
Yet, as I awakened to this realization, a stirring of conviction enveloped my being. I recognized the importance of reigniting the flame of urgency within me. Not driven by the spectacle of an eclipse, but by the profound truth that each passing day could mark someone's transition into eternity.

In these moments of reflection, the words of Jesus echoed in my soul, urging me to go forth and share love with a sense of purpose. It wasn't about measuring worth or assessing goodness; it was simply about shining the light of Christ and extending genuine care to all.
