Hey there!
Lately, I've been pondering a lot about who I am and why it matters so much. I mean, being a daughter of, widow of, mother of, and grandmother of is a big part of my life story, but there's something deeper that defines who I genuinely am. it's so important to recognize our truest and most amazing identity: being a child of the Most High God and King. While our earthly titles and relationships matter, they don't define our ultimate purpose and worth. Our identity as a child of God is something extraordinary that shapes our lives in ways beyond measure.
Isn't being a Child of the Most High God and King wonderful? It's like being part of an awe-inspiring family where love knows no bounds. In Psalm 139:14 (NIV), it's a beautiful reminder: "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." We are uniquely designed and cherished by the Creator of the universe. God's love for us is beyond measure, unwavering, and lasts forever.
Let's dive into what being a child of God truly means, shall we?
Picture this - as a child of God, we're enveloped in His unconditional love and embraced just as we are. Romans 8:38-39 (NIV) reassures us, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Our worth isn't about what we do or how others see us; it's about God's everlasting love for us.
You have a special calling, my friend! God has something extraordinary planned for each of us. Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) sums it up beautifully, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Our purpose goes beyond our earthly roles; it's about reflecting God's love and brightness in the world, touching lives for His glory.
Have you ever thought about the amazing inheritance that's waiting for us? As God's children, we inherit the promise of eternal life. 1 John 3:1-2 (NIV) cheers us on, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! ... Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." Our forever destiny is secure through our faith in Christ.
Living as a child of God means surrendering to His plan daily, seeking His wisdom, and embracing His teachings. We can talk to Him, immerse ourselves in His Word, and surround ourselves with friends who share this beautiful journey. As we grow in faith, we'll naturally share God's love, grace, and kindness with those around us.
So, while our earthly roles are a part of our story, remember, our real significance lies in being a cherished child of the Most High God and King. Let's celebrate this incredible identity and live our lives to honor Him in everything we do.
Stay blessed!
